since i purchased a new dish washer i keep getting small electric shocks. it only happens when i touch two metal things at one time i.e if i touch the metal lid on kettle and the stainless steel sink or the sink and the metal on the dish washer this never happened with my old one could it be a fault on the dish washer? could this be dangerous

do you think it would be a good idea to get an electrician to check it out first or go straight to the manufacturer?

sorry to be a nuisance but i've unplugged the dish washer now and i'm still getting the shocks i know this is probably a stupid question but does that mean it cant be the dish washer at all :(

i had another dish washer there for 6 years and before that the washing machine the floor is concrete

i am no longer getting electric shocks in my kitchen so i think it must be the dish washer and it must be like one of you has said a voltage leakage internally or why would it have stopped happening just because i switched the dish washer off i think it will be best if i contact the manufacturer

I still think you need to contact an electrician to test your fixed wiring as you shouldn't be getting shocks.
