Our Latinos take on dangerous, low paying work and some die. I doubt that they are mourned by anyone outside of their immediate family. And they come here anyway.

The hope I had for Obama has largely evaporated - but - I still have a photo from the newspaper of three black guys when they heard the news. It was classic disbelief, joy, whatever. I've never seen such emotion expressed so openly.
