Stepped foundations with SCC

This might seem a stupid question but can you do stepped foundations with scc or will it just run everywhere?

When I say scc I mean self compacting concrete or flow concrete or concrete with a plasticiser in it to it flows.

I would ask the supplier, but if it's supposed to be self-consolidating I can imagine it flowing right under the shuttering.

Why do you want SCC anyway? I had a company which mixed there and then and for an extra few quid they barrowed it all through and levelled it at two levels.

I want scc as I have easy access to one end of the trench.
It'll be around 20m3 of concrete so barrowing is not an option and I was trying to do away with the cost of a pump.

So you're building a whole house then? I would still ask the suppliers.
