Just purchased the saw MS181c

Currently it has a 13 inch bar
Chain is as follows,
Pitch 3/8
Gauge 1.3
Links 50

I think i will put a new chain on it BUT just asking is there any benefit of maybe a longer bar / chain.
Recently ive been cutting down some trees for customers with my old saw of say 12 feet tall & roughly 10 inch diameter.

Just wondering should i replace like for like or go up a size ?

Thanks

The MS18 range are great, high revving hobby saws. I’d recommend keeping the standard length of bar as the engine will struggle with the extra cutting load.
Concentrate on very sharp, quality chains for best results.

To confirm the bar length i measured from body of saw to tip of bar.
This was 13 inches,is that correct ?

Thanks
