I needed to replace both hot and cold ceramic tap cartridges...

The cold one came off without any trouble...

However the hot water cartridge refuses to budge...

I was advised to use a socket and ratchet set... I have tried but the cartridge still wont move...

Is it possible that I am turning the wrong way?

I have uploaded an pic of the cartridge with the direction I am turning....

also if it help here is a pic of the tap and the arrows depict the direction you must turn, to turn on the hot and cold water....

Please excuse the crudeness of the drawn arrows :D

If I get the taps hot by running water could this help to remove the cartridge?

Anti clockwise is the right way to remove, if the socket is a good fit and it doesn't slip then its not being given enough force.

9 times out of 10 a Bacho adjustable gets them off.

Brilliant...

I just got it off...

I simply went nuts and pulled it off with everything I had
