Stop the austerity, turn on the spending taps, VOTE LABOUR!

There are many here who are quick to tar others with the same brush.

Possibly secure.

But I grew up in a council estate, I live near several, have contacts with people who live in such.

A good number of them, more than half, simply don't bother to do any better as they are happy to live of the state, of others.

You might want to think *why* so many people are quick to tar others with that brush.

or he thought people were too stupid to understand the difference between debt and deficit.

Well considering that most people think there have been large cuts to the deficit, when there haven't, he's probably right that most people also don't know the difference between debt and deficit.
What is the difference between the debt and the deficit.

The debt is the total owed so far. The deficit is the rate at which the debt is increasing i.e. the amount being spent over and above the money coming in from taxes.

The 'debt' doesn't include future contracted spending commitments e.g. public sector pensions and PFI payments. Include those, which you need to in order to get a more accurate picture, and the UK's financial position looks totally horrific.

True. But public sector pensions are in essence a ponzi scheme. Unless they are capped and phased out I think there is a good chance they will be defaulted upon when today's children and unborn decide they have no obligation to pay them.

Just as it takes no account of future tax revenues.

Don't look at someone claiming benefit and immediately think scrounger.

I don't need to look at them, I live near the ****ers and can see first hand whole reams of useless wasters who decide they don't need to do better.

I know someone who actually asked to be paid less than what was being offered, as it would effect their housing benefit payments. Why bother with such mundane stuff as a "career" when you have been given a house for life at 1/3 of what others have to pay.

I really don't know why you even try to defend such people securespark, they are the very people that drain money from the system, leaving those truly in need with less.
