Is it normal for the double pole wall switch to warm up whilst the heaters are in use ?

Not really. Certainly not noticeably.

You more than likely have a loose connection on the rear of the switch, or the switch is a little tired.

They are new switches which have only been used properly the once & have been checked by 2 different electricians now, is there anything else which could be causing the switches to warm up ?

Are they a Nippon manufacturer or are they a quality item ?

What is the storage heater fused at at the CU 16amp or 20 amp ?

Are you absolutely sure the switch is rated at 20 amp- which it should be ?

If the switch was replaced, did the fitter cut back the cores and use fresh bright metal to terminate with ?

1)They are Unidare heaters which are now covered by Dimplex (admittedly don't know how old they are though)

2) cu ? Sorry unsure will have to check

3) Yes 20 Amp Pole Switches are being used, unlike the 13amp spur switch they were originally fitted with & resulting in one melting a week or so back

4) The one who came yesterday did the other is a friend & did the original work whilst I was out so unsure

Any thoughts ?

Can you post a pic of the switch?

Ok should be able to do that, the current one's (Pole) or the old knackered one (Spur) ? (unfortunately I don't have possession of the melted one at the moment)

Id probably suggest changing dp dwitch for a quality make, and remake all of the terminations just to be certain. MK is good stuff, except the cord grip is awful on their dp switches.
