Hoping someone can help! We have just moved into a new property and had 3 ghastly storage heaters removed. Where one was, this has now been replaced with a hard-wired electric panel heater (I am assuming into the same circuit as the storage heater).
We are currently on the E7 tarrif.
1. Do I have to inform our supplier that we have removed these storage heaters? I keep seeing things on the internet regarding the radio teleswitch though am unsure what, if anything, needs to be done with this.
2. Assuming panel heater is connected to the same circuit as storage heater was, does this mean it will only work "at night" if the socket is switched to the on position?
3. Would it make sense to remain on the E7 tarriff or switch to a standard tariff - and if we switch to standard, does that mean the panel heater will work when we wanted it to (ie. during the day)? And on a standard tariff, will the water still heat up overnight!?

So sorry, so many questions!
Yours confused,

Luke

You don't have to but you will want to.

Yes.

Switch.

Yes.

Not unless you tell it to with an immersion timer.

Standard tariff is so much cheaper than the day rate when on E7.

Contact the supplier and ask them to remove the E7 meter.

Depending on the system you have this may automatically combine the two, if not, ask them to join them.
