Straps for wall plate spacing more than 2m

Hi guys,

Just fixing my wall plate on now and I have 1m straps to go down the wall. The instructions say they should be no more than 2m apart, however I've got a window that's 2.2m wide so the spacing exceeds the max spacing.

Should I double strap either side of the window, or is there some other kind of product to add to keep the wall plate in place, baring in mind that over the window there's only one course of bricks between the lintel and the wall plate?

Just put one strap either side of the opening about 200-300mm in

So my wall is 5.1m long, which in theory needs 3 straps along the length at 1.7m. So if I put 4 on it, I’ll be good.
