I am just after a guide for building some stud work for a ceiling for our office. Our current ceiling is the bottom of a mezzanine and we lose a lot of heat from it in the winter.
My idea is to build some stud work, put some insulation in and then plasterboard it.
I will have to build the stud work off four walls (two off brick walls and two off stud walls). The office size is 3.5m by 3.8m.
Could someone guide me on how to do this:
Which timber size to get?
Plasterboard thickness?
Gaps between each bit of timber on the stud work?
To use noggins or not?
Type of brackets to use to build the stud work off?
Many Thanks
