Bit of an odd one but are there any brackets that I can screw to a 9" brick wall to allow me to build studwork off this. I'm trying to make a wall flush to hide a steel and also where the extension wall is 12" to lose that step also.

I know I can get 75mm l shape brackets but can I get a 2.4m long bracket the stud will slot into and be fixed where needed to make the wall straight?

I hope that makes sense but any help is appreciated

Thanks
Dave

I can use plugs and screws but thought a bracket system would be quicker and also mean I can lose any irregularities in the wall by leveling each stud without scribing it.

I may use a metal system as suggested but I have services runninrgb horizontally along the wall. Guess there is no issue with this just chop out the vertical to allow these to pass through and carry on !

Thanks
Dave

Sorry, yeah I get your gist.
Just do as PBD says and build with a gap off the wall.
You can stiffen the stud wall with the odd mid-span angle bracket if you wish.
