Hello peeps
Just a quick one (i hope), I want to take a spur from a ringmain out to our summer house, can I add one of these (Powerbreaker H92IP IP67 Waterproof RCD Fused Spur Unit).
http://www.rbstaronline.co.uk/acatalog/Powerbreaker_RCD_products.html
to the ringmain then take the spur from here out to the summer house. Having read posts on here I was thinking of running 4mm armoured cable from the rcd fuse spur unit across the 9 meters to the summer house, where I'm planning to run a single socket.

How does it sound.

Thanks for any help or tips

what you propose sounds fine. Put a double socket in though. single sockets are rarely enough.

is the ring main RCD protected? if so, you dont need an additional RCD.

Thanks crafty, no the ringmain doesnt have a rcd only mcb. hence having read other posts I did a search and came across the spur rcd
Once again thanks for your help.

When you're running the cable across the garden, keep a look out for the Part P police
