R&C - can you find no documentation good enough for you to estimate the value?

Yes, will does help those dealing with estates a bit. Unfortunately both estates that I've done have been intestacys.

I was thinking of estimating some elements but just about managed to get all the info I need now so no need. Not delayed things too much.

Did our mums probate just estimating the property value and it came to around the £650k mark in total including savings/ISA's and it took less than a week to come through. I think if it was hovering around the IHT limit of £1m, they may have looked deeper into it but I’m assuming that because it was nowhere near the limit, it went through in what I would consider a very quick time indeed.
