Hi Guys
Replacing a dimmer switch with an ordinary one way switch
Where do I place the red and black on this .....ps try not to laugh

Red in L1 (One way) and Black in Com, fit the switch with the writing the right way up

Where do I place the red and black on this .....ps try not to laugh
I don't laugh when people ask this sort of question, I vastly prefer it this way than multiple questions afterwards when struggling to get things working because they stripped the old out without thinking.
 
For information:

For one way switching it doesn't matter which way round you wire the red and black in COM and L1.

If you use COM and L2 the switch will work 'upside down'.


The switch just connects the terminals together to allow the electricity flow.
