I have a shower steam cabin with a 12v extractor fan in the roof of the cabin, I would like to fit an in line fan in the ducting to help evacuate the cabin of steam. How can I get the 230v fan to switch on/off the same time as the 12v fan switches on/off?

you wan't code N06AW (the 12V reffers to the coil voltage the contacts can switch mains)
then it should just be a matter of connecting it over the existing fan and using it to switch your mains fan.
remember to mount it in a suitable enclosure and keep the mains and low voltage wiring as seperate as possible.
