Salt softener negates the need for the snake oil.
And the magnetic filter? I've read some mixed reviews on the Magnaclean, i.e.:Salt softener negates the need for the snake oil.
Magnaclean or a Spirotrap MB3 is always a good idea. A Spirovent RV2 wouldn't go amiss either
"i would never use a magna clean for several reasons...the magnets loose effectiveness over time because the sit in hot water and the plastic casing has no impermeable barrier to allow ingress of oxygen into the heating pipes"
Correct, absolutely not the TF1Not the Fernox TF1 Total?
Sorry, by "builder" i meant the contractor's plumber.More importantly is this "builder" installing your boiler?
Correct, absolutely not the TF1
So the builder is charging his 20% markup on the boiler and cylinder which you purchased?
I am not permitted to tell you what I would have charged for the installation but it would certainly be less than your builder I suspect.
But then he is doing a larger job and has to make a profit to stay in business and perhaps his plumbing charges are subsidising the other work?
I don't work very fast but I am sure that I would never take 48 hours to fit a cylinder.
Tony
Again on a job that you have never seen and have absolutely no knowledge ofI don't work very fast but I am sure that I would never take 48 hours to fit a cylinder.
