Hi there,

I was just wondering what's the best in terms of reliability and general performance.

a) System boiler and cylinder (unvented or vented)

b) Heat only boiler with sealed system kit and cylinder.

Looking at some of the Vaillant boilers, the heat only ones seem to have a much wider modulation range, would this be more efficient?

System boiler everytime.
I don't install heat only. I want everything in the one box pump and expansion vessel.

Reason I ask this is because when I went on work experience nearly all the boilers they had installed in properties with a cylinder were Glow-worm HXI's with a sealed system kit, dunno why I never asked about not using system boilers :?

bit complicated ehh  [/quote]

Just faster to install and therefore the pump and expansion vessel
are covered under manufacturers warranty.
You can also pump harder with a sealed system.

Hi David937

For your questions to be answered simply "google" heat only boilers or, system boilers.
