Hi all,

Does anyone else have a problem with a low life of Torx bits in a power screwdriver (cordless drill) ?

I seem to go through a hell of a lot of 'em - sometimes less than 8 fixings set before the end of bit snaps

Or, does anyone know of hex/Torx bits which are extra strong ? ?

My local builders merchant sells some good ones i will track the make down.

i fitted 40sq meter of decking down and didn't brake it, i chewed some heads of the spax screws though :)

I have been using wera ones for sometime now in an impact driver.

Seems to happily wind in virtually anything without twisting off- using multimontis last couple of weeks (concrete screws) Bits taking full torque from an impact driver okay.

Its the bit holders that seem to giveup a lot for me.
