Hi

We recently had some ceramic floor tiles fitted in our kitchen & all is well except one of the tiles rocks slightly when you stand on it & the grout surrounding it has cracked!

We obviously need to remove this tile and replace it with new adhesive, whats the best way to get the tile up?

Some sites said to use a hot iron to soften the adhesive underneath but I'm not sure if it will work! Whats the best way?

If it was not done that long ago, get the person back who fitted them that is not right and would make me wonder about the rest of the floor..........

Have you racked all the grout out?
If you have how lose is it, cant you just put a paint scraper in opposite sides & leave it out, taking care not to chip surrounding tiles.

Thanks!

The tiles were fitted by a joiner friend but he has done a really good job except this one tile is loose. They have been down for several weeks now and this is the only problem.

I will rake all the grout out and then see if I can lift the tile first.
