Tap connector with flat fibre washer

I have a flexible connector for a 3/8s toilet connector that has a flat fibre washer instead of the rubber washer usually seen in flexible hoses with a female end. Does this style usually seal up ok?

Yes, just make sure it is going onto a nice clean flat end on the fill valve and don't over tighten.
