Hi,

I have bought a used tecnik range oven and the cooling motor is noisy when in operation. I have taken the oven apart and the cooling fan itself is fine. When unmounted from the oven casing it turns very quietly, but the way it is mounted causes the noise metallic rattling sound. I think its a design fault.
I think I have two choices. Either to reduce the speed of the fan to maybe half in order that the vibration is greatly subdued or to somehow mount the motor so that it doesnt cause the oven casing to rattle.

Is it safe to reduce the speed of the fan and what can I use? It does seem to turn incredibly fast and generate a lot of cool blown air. Alternatively what vibration mounts could I use within the oven casing?

If you google rubber washers or mounts there are plenty to choose from

Thanks for the pointer, I had initially thought rubber would have been inappropriate because of the heat on metal surfaces within the oven.

further to this I have used multiple washers and o rings but cannot quieten the fan. However it appears the rubber mounting that the fan spins on may be the culprit. Is it replaceable?
