Could any one tell me how to add a speker from a landline phone to just add the ringing tone to another room.Ive seen it in operation years ago but cannot get in contact with the person that had it done

If you didnt understand i want my pnone in one foom and a speaker in another room that sound whenever the phone rings THANKS

you need another phone socket in the room to plug the "extra sounder" into, information can be found in the sticky post on how to do this

The BT loud ringer bell is very loud. Fix it to a wooden board and you'll never miss a phone call

Use terminals 3 and 5 to connect up the bell, unless you're using a plug in type.

Seurespark you said use 3 and 5.Im in ireland we use rj 11.What differences will that make to my setup

If the particular bell you get is intended for british use then you will have to add a ringer capacitor, i belive the ratings for this are 1.8uf 250V, make sure its non-polarised.

connect one end of the bell to one of the middle terminals of your rj11 socket and the other end to the capacitor. then connect the other end of the capactitor to the other one of the middle terminals of your rj11 socket.
