Anyone know where I can inexpensively hire one of the aforementioned telescopic camera thingys?

We need to get some RSJs exposed and inspected and it might save a lot of mess and redecorating costs.

Cheers

Will a drain camera do the trick? Cost about £110 a day from HSS but if I can get something cheaper, that would be preferable

Also - would LABC be happy to inspect per the CCTV or would they want the steel properly exposed and inspected?

Having used boroscope cameras quite a lot I reckon you'll end up disappointed. More often than not the results are totally useless. Wall tie scopes are good for that particular use but that's about it. It will be impossible to accurately judge distances and dimensions and you'll probably not be able to get the scope in the position that you really want. Because of that I wouldn't spend a lot of money.

Is this camera going to be able to check the depth of the padstone and measure the beam section size
