Telescopic Ladder for Loft

I have a shallow loft and was thinking of using one of these to access it through the hatch:

does anyone have any suggestions on how I could mount this in the hatch to make it easier and safer to use and store away in the loft?

They aren't designed to store in the loft, and tend to work from the ground upwards. If you can get up into the loft, then it can't be too shallow, and a 3 section ladder should work. Do you have boarding in the loft.

loft is boarded but I have to crouch on my knees. A conventional loft ladder would not slide up there

The 3 section ladder will swing up and backwards as it goes in. It's rated as 1.3mtrs long, so get a piece of wood that long, and see how well it slides up and backwards.
