Telescopic ladder not impressed

G

I just purchased one of those telescopic ladders - mainly because they are small when closed up will save me having step ladders in the van (for loft access generally).

Problem is I am not impressed. It's Titan brand. One step will not move up or down and when closing the poles seem to get "stuck" at the joints, only closing when a couple at a time are released.

Has anybody any experience of these ladders - good brands, not good brands?

This one is going back in the morning (£99 + VAT and 3.8M).

Thks!

Obviously it will be more hassle than an ordinary ladder, that's the price of convenience.
Have you tried wd40-ing the joints?

I think you are meant to put them up and down one section at a time, not 'all at once'

I have a titan telescopic and it's served me well, wd40 on a regualar basis and get used to it and it's great. There is a "knack" to useing them.

Thanks for that everybody. I'll show them at the store before WD 40ing!
