Testing immersion heater and stat

Hi guys,

Can anyone give me detailed instructions as to how to use a multimeter to test Immersion heater and thermostat?

What settings do I use on meter etc?

What are you trying to test?

Does it work at all?

Has it blown a fuse?

Is the water to hot?

Are you paranoid because of the news?

It is not as easy as wacking a meter on it - We need to know your symptoms first!
