Testing on system changes

I don't think that's too much of a problem. He was the one that did the CU and partial rewire, and it was only a week or two since it was done ...
That move the goalposts a fair bit, but it doesn't really alter my view about what I said. At least, if it were me who had installed the RCBO (and measured the Zs) last week, I think I would still take the few seconds to measure the Zs, again, before bothering to open the CU up to change it to a Type C - but maybe that's just me!

I think I'd feel justified in expecting things to be near enough the same as they were a week ago. But having just taken a brand new RCBO out of the box, I'd test the RCD in it - having had a faulty one out of the box before (different, cheaper, brand).
 
Yeah, I fitted a brand new 2-RCD board a good few years ago and both RCD's were FUBARred.
