Testing thermostat fuse on WD71 hotpoint

WD71 hotpoint washer dryer

i am testing the thermostat / fuse

its the square black box one on the dryer section

tested the two spade terminals for resitance

it shows '0.00'

i assume that this means it is ok and continuity is present allowing current to pass through thus allowing the dryer to work

am i correct ???

You should get the same reading that you do when you touch the probes together so yes it should mean it is ok.
