Hi,
My system was working fine up to last Sunday

Configuration

Premier Elite 48-W(v2.11)

COM1 - COMWiFi - only local access for wintex
COM2 - ComGsm - vodafone SIM

It is now reporting ats fault and it is coming back every time it is cleared

RSSI = -55dBm

I am able to send a text from keypad - ComGsm seems to be fine

But ComGSm is not talking to panel

After reset of com2 when I press 0

Atz and counting...

It is not talking to panel

Q) It was working fine, was able to receive SMS from panel for alarm, status and etc... and the signal is always good, what could be the reason for this failure

can't be certain, would need to look at event log and programming for possibles.

Is it a contract sim or pay as you go ?
Could be no network with is causing com 2 fault ?

Just a thought , the GSM unit tamper on the older units used to disconnect the GSM unit, also depending on panel and firmware , depending on dill switch setting , not reporting gsm tamper either. I had this a couple of years ago on a panel . A quick stretch on the GSM tamper switch did sort this issue

I bought and installed the system Jan 2016.

no idea of firmware on ComGSM

I have not touched the ComGSM after installing, I willremove the cover and check it

Thanks for the help, I did power down ComGSM by removing the cover and power it up ----> working fine.
