Texecom Impaq SC - 4 core cable

apologies noticed that the dipswitches are different on the diagram taken from the manual and the SC I have on the bench,

if using 2k2 4K7 double pole / eol wiring according zone wiring type on elite panel, then that device would be dip switch 2 and not dip switch 1, the unit I have in font of me is Dip 1 for 2k2 4k7.

so you may need to check your device for which resistor values to select.

thanks!

just worked out i need a zone extender now too..... :(

Okay.

then what I would do is map zone 24 to keypad zone 1.

take one of the zones out of the panel, join it to two wires back from one of the shocks.
wire to first A and last T in keypad zone 1
program the zone accordingly.

it be easier to do it this way and have the single wires going to zones in the panel.

any issues get back to us. we dont know if those two cables are any good at the minute but hopefully they are

thanks for you help.
(it might actually be simpler for me just to get a the expander....i dont really want to much around the other bits).

Texecom Premier 8XE Plug On Zone Expander - CCD-0001 can be added to the Elite 24 panels
Let’s see what my installer says. He’s supposed to be servicing it next week.
Wanted to charge me £100+vat to replace a shock sensor. Straight swap as I removed it because we were having building works done.

Madness!

don’t think that’s too bad, but then again I know what it costs me to do small jobs. One of the reasons I suggest to customers to have things added at a routine services. as already going to that site so it’s an extra hour, not an extra 2 plus hours including travel time. You only see costs based on what happens onsite, not all the associated costs. Renewal of equipment, training, wages pension, sick pay, taxes etc etc

I’m not disagreeing with you and the costs involved.
But 100+vat x 3 sensors plus the annual service at the same time. Bit much
