Hi all

I have a Prem Elite 48 control panel and I've been trying to install a ComGSM CEG-0001 today running a specific security SIM from Quicksafe.

Earlier today, I managed to get it configured and working, however, it would only send status updates via text message and it would not text me when the alarm was triggered.

I unplugged the panel this evening and powered it up, since then, the Panel LED is no longer lit up and the Prem Elite panel says Coms Module is not enabled.

Does anybody know how I can enable it again and then change the options to start texting when the alarm is triggered, tampered with etc?

In terms of the options used, I have it set up as a Com300 module in Onboard Digicam and Com300 Module in Com Port 1.

Arc 1 Protocol is set to SMS Messaging, rest are disabled.
Primary & Secondary Numbers are entered in 0044 format.
Account Number is blank.
Dialling Attempts set to 3.
Report Area's set to ABCD (not sure what this means?)
Reports set to P A O * M T C * (not sure what this means?)
Config 1 set to ********
Config 2 set to ***

Digi Options set to ******

UDL Options set to:
Callback 1-3 blank
UDL Password blank
UDL Options set to * M D * * *
Rings Required 5
UDL Dial Attempt 3

Many thanks in advance for your help!

It needs setting to gsm unit ....not com300 ... Area probably only A if your only using A , reports , normally only set to P and A , in other words panic and alarm

Thanks for the quick reply. I've made the changes as suggested. It has come up with a fault now

ATS Path Fault - No ATS Available

Yes, what I've noticed is that the LED 2 is slow flashing. I tried to request a status report via text and that's when the failure happened. What do I need to do to turn the LED on?

Thanks

Have you got a comm 300 fitted ?
Why have you used 0044 pre fix ?
Have you got ATS monitor turned on in settings?
Are you programming via keypad or laptop ?

It's the Texecom ComGSM CEG-0001

The SIM card is set up in that format so I assumed same needed to be used for the GSM unit. Should it be standard 07xxx format?

Not sure about the ATS monitor, how do I check?

Programming via keypad.

Thanks

ATS monitor is in global the go to monitor
I would put your normal mobile number to start with until you have got all issues sorted ?
How much credit have you got on SIM card ?

Digit options
Press no and the 1
Still will enable the digital and put an E in the display

Global option and go to monitor hardware
Press no press 1 to turn off ATS monitor

The above will enable communicator and turn off ATS monitor

Comm port 1 wants to be GSM module

Arc 1 SMS
Put your mobile your mobile number in arc
Report
P = panic alarm
A= intruder alarm
T= tamper alarm
M= maintenance
O= open /close
You need P and A in reports to send panic and intruder alarms

Thanks Handymanjo. I've made the changes as suggested above and unfortunately it still isn't working, it now says:

Com 1 Fault - No ATS available

I don't think it's a problem with the SIM card as it was working on Tuesday and I could get status reports.

There is no phone line attached to the alarm, it is GSM only.

The alarm system monitors the ATS paths
If no landline phone =ATS fault
If no mobile phone signal=ATS fault

Turn comm 1 to not used,disconnect GSM comm now reconnect GSM comm and turn back on comm1 to GSM module.This will reboot comm port
Then try
It is either problem with SIM card,or your program set up ?
