Hi, I have installed the Texecom Premier Elite system and not able to arm. I get the following message ‘Area in Exit > A’
The set up is basic and has 4 x PIR’s, 1 x Door Switch & 1 x Panic Switch. The Entry exit Zone is A PIR rather than a door contact.
I’m not seeing a ‘Ready Light’ which I understand has to be on to allow for arming.
The installation used existing cables and PIR’s. I have also conducted a walk test and all checks out.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Many thanks for your reply.

Pardon my ignorance - does A refer to zone 1 which in my system is the entry/exit (PIR). What menu function do I access and change to ‘Timed’ ?

Also could I clarify the status of the control box LED ( visible through the cover). I understand this light should be solid for the Texecom Premier system and should flash for the Premier Elite 24 system. Is this correct?

Once again, many thanks

All your devices will be area A , go into engineer programming , go to area programming , arming modes , area A arm by …default is exit ….change to timed …
