Anyone know how to recover one with access to the ports? I've flashed mine to V.3.00 thinking I had removed the Com-IP module from Com1 ops! and it failed the flash, tech support said it should be ok but im getting the same "board not responding" error when trying to connect to it via the flasher interface. Connected to Com1-2 directly its not talking.
The remote pad says V10.100 ADD=ENG W=7,7_$=$*"%*&"%$
Thanks in advance

You did switch it back to run and press reset?

if that doesn't work remove all the com port connectors, down power completely, put the battery back on and press kick start.

Then check using menu 4 when it powers up to see what version you have loaded in.

The remote keypad is set to the engineers address ENG, which is only required if you have the engineers lead and connecting to an engineers port.

The programming for the engineer ports is in the same place and you can now map each comport to an arc, and program each comport separately, so you can have upto 3 of the same device on com1, com2 and the expansion port with the adapter comport+ which hasn't yet been released as it stands.

I am currently running comip and com wifi on one panel and 4 arcs for some tests I am doing.

Hi thank you for that, i've removed all the power, plus the com port connector powered down completely, restarted with just the power first with finger on the default button (finger on default button for at least a minute or so)
Then restarted with finger of the default button - with power
Then restarting with just the battery and finger on default and kick starting (finger on default buttoon for at least a minute or so)
Then restarting with just the battery and kick starting - all combinations providing the same results.
The remote keypad has the same output as previously, nothing has changed. It was set as engineers pad originally.

RF LEDS ? (Left) green is static - ON and (Right) red is flashing on and of
Ricochet network light is flashing red, in beats of 3?
Heartbeat LED is off

The network data indicators (bottom left side of panel) both are not lit. (I cant remember if they was anyway, no PIR's are hard wired )
currently connected is the bell connections and the remote pad

give us a call if your in front of the unit on my mobile be aware mind I have had a few drinks this evening so not as sharp as I should be

after discussions it appears that the flash process hasn't been completed, and that your locked out.

re attempt the flash process from scratch, but make sure the comports are not occupied, ie digi modem,. com1. com2 and the expansion port.

if it still doesn't work get the pcb replaced under warrant, it should be recoverable but no heart indicates the panel hasn't recovered form the flash, the flash being incomplete may be a problem, although not had an incomplete flash not recoverable before.

Thanks very much for your help the other night, the retailer is exchanging the PCB so all's well that ends well :) V.3 here we come - minus any connections what so ever ha! and thanks to the electrical company they have been great.

alls well that ends well, I am surprised it wasnt at all recoverable but, these things happen.

I am sure its something you will not do again in a hurry when flashing
