PA zones and fire zones work 24/7 and don't have to be set.
however for intrusion, your alarm needs to be set.
if you walk to your keypad and start the arming process, the PIR's will pick you up as you walk to the door?
On the Premier elite panels the arming mode is entry/exit, which means it sees the e/e device go active then secure and the system sets, with a PIR set to e/e its likely it will see lots of activity and give you grief, however if you set the arming mode to timed exit, it doesn't look for a device at all, it just gives you x amount of time to get out of the building.
The e/e PIR will start the entry timer when you re-enter the house.
