It's dated but UKIP and BNP were below average IQ. Labour and Tories were very close, Green and Lib dem are the brainy ones.

I know someone with a Chemistry PhD who voted Brexit as a protest vote. He probably drags up the score back to average for ten of the UKIP knuckle draggers.
The correlation isn't perfect. But on average right wing people don't do well in IQ tests.

The author is a little biased…
Very few people in the UK think they are below average intelligence apparently. If you haven't had a formal IQ test and ever voted UKIP then you probably sit on the wrong side of the mean.
