The Danish Model

All my Danish friends are blonde.

I thought it was well known that "Scandinavians" were generally fair. The further north you go, the less sun you get, the less sun you get the less vitamin D, Melanin which makes your skin darker and protects you from the sun also blocks vitamin D absorption.

ergo. More sun = darker skin, less sun = fairer skin.
Precisely.

Well inuits don't have blond(e) hair, so it's sort of a truism, Inuits being of Asian origin . The ratio of blond to brown hair in Denmark is about the same as the east of England (odd that ;)) The ratio of blond to brown is much higher in Sweden / Finland and higher in Norway.

Must admit I've only been to Copenhagen which I'm sure will be widely multi-cultural.

Anyone touting their visit to a capital city as a means of judging the racial demographics of the associated country, are having a larf innit.
