The EU is nothing but a dictatorship wrapped up in a thin veneer that it hopes will fool people into thinking that there is any sort democracy involved. It already shows alarming parallels with the old U.S.S.R.

Shows how much Brussels and the EU is frightened of Greece going under. If Greece fails, it will surely bring down the Euro with it. Portugal, Ireland and Italy will fail bringing down the rest of the European house of cards. If the Euro fails, I hope your prepared for a bigger recession than you can imagine.

the question is ... will any country ever be allowed a referendum if Greece is denied it's right?

Well Wotan, considering that Nu Labour got voted in almost solely on the promise of offering us a referendum, then heinously reneged on it (the wording was different, but the agreement Brown signed was still the same), I can't see any other country being offered one. Even if they were it will just be the same as Ireland a few years ago (get a no vote then shower the country with money until they return a yes vote)
