Commenting on my own post regarding P&R - i'm thinking of going to York this weekend so have looked into using the park & ride. It's £2.30 return per adult for the bus and parking is free.
Thats fine if you're on your own, but if there are four adults in the car, thats £9.20. You can get all day parking in various car parks around the city for around £8.00 - so whats the point of messing about with buses??
If you're only planning to stay for 3-4 hours you get park in city for under £5. Don't the people who run these schemes sit down and work it out for themselves?
