Thermostat?

I have a back boiler behind my gas fire with the controls under the fire (Standard?)

We also have a wall mounted thermostat control.

Control used to work but now does nothing. We have to adjust the central heating via the controls under the fire.

Maybe this is obvious to most but is the problem just a new controller on the wall and how can i test this with my meter?

i dont understand when you say does nothing. all the room stat is is a switch. makes or breaks depending on room temp and set temp. if heatings coming on then its doing its job

when it clicks thats when it should be making?

small possibility lost calibration of temp and will need replacing.

do you adjust boiler stat to turn rads down, yes?
