They're saying we'll have to wear a jumper indoors in the winter. Is the world coming to an end?

Due to the higher gas prices; they're saying we'll have to wear a jumper indoors in the winter. Is the world coming to an end?[/b]

if the world is coming to and end, can someone let me know how long weve got, as im digging the driveway today and if its soon i see little point in finishing it.

thanks

10 years from now you won't have a car.

This one’s obviously not a real poll ;)

I just found it quite amusing the way they were totally outraged this morning on the news by the suggestion of wearing a couple of layers.
It almost starts to make you feel sorry for the government with the kind of people it has to deal with.

I personally believe excessive central heating is really unhealthy and we always put 2 pairs of socks and layers on instead.

I can't believe he fell for that. Or maybe he was playing ' the straight guy'

Think back about forty years to a time when oil was relatively cheap and the word "pollution" didn't figure in most people's vocabulary. We were told that we'd "never had it so good" and yet the government was telling us how to save on our fuel bills and recommending the following room temperatures:

Living rooms --- 70°F 8) 8) 8)
Hallways -------- 65°F 8) 8) 8)
Bathrooms ------ 60°F
Bedrooms ------- 55°F

You couldn't make it up if you tried!

Oh no, if I have to put a jumper on indoors, I'll have to take my winter coat off first!

Well I don't know, I have the heating completely switched off in the bedroom, and always have the window open.
