This Will Not Work For The Patient

Great if it does.

But personally it sounds too close to the USA system, which has been proven not to be good for the many
Well it isn't close to the American system, this is my British new look NHS designed specifically for us. I should be the chancellor.

Not like the American system in my plan to help the NHS, those that can pay for insurance has to have it, those that cant don't need to have it.

You mean, people with plenty of money will pay more than they get, and people with little money will get benefits without paying.

A bit like a health system funded by taxation.

You seem very flexible on what you think you mean.

...large company's like mine should be made to provide private heathcare to their employees to help lessen the load on the NHS.

Employees are relatively young and healthy, so not much of a cost

The elderly retired, and long term sick, who need the most healthcare, would not be eligible for an employers scheme.

You seem very flexible on what you think you mean.

It would be very much the same as a taxation sytem that we currently have but with my system it would put more money into the system funded by the payments from the contributions of the insurance, it wouldn't be privateised with fat cats taking money out either, it would be run and managed by the government and the NHS on a non proffit basis. It would put more money into the health service to pay the doctors and equipe hospitals with what they need without using as much from taxation. I think I have hit on a winner here.

You wouldnt as it is insurance backed, same as if you lose your car, you wont go bankrupt
The cost of private health insurance is based on individual circumstances, as you get older the cost goes up , some medical conditions are excluded from cover.
My relative was in the Police for 30 years, back then the Police in N.I. were well paid , him and his wife had BUPA insurance, when he retired the cost of his health insurance went through the roof, so he cancelled it.
Not long after retiring he was diagnosed with Prostate cancer, luckily it was caught early and he survived, it was a long course of treatment which probably cost tens of thousands, if it hadn't been for the NHS he could have been in serious financial trouble.

My proposal keeps the NHS in tact for those who need it. The contribution scheme would be for those who are working which would inject more money in than they are getting now. There will be nobody who goes without.
