This you don't see nowadays

More thinks you don't see -

Typed letters
Cockneys
Telephones with proper dials
Cylclists who believe in the highway code
Blokes smoking pipes
People who don't keep asking you how you are when you meet them, even if they are strangers
Children from council estates with normal, sensible names
Bank clerks over 18 years old

A couple more occurred to me;

Hitchikers

Parents who take their children to the supermarket to smack them

petrol at 52.9p (when I started driving)

10 besons for £1.10

Even in 2002, when I bought my Skoda new, I could fill up with £34.50.

Now, it's not far off double that.

As for the cigs, I remember buying 10 Bensons in 1977 (don't ask!) and they were less than 20p.

Even in 1982, I used to buy Ardath (remember them?) for 50p for 20.
