I need to identify a thread.

OD is 0.613" 15.57mm
pitch is 1.0 or 25TPI

It's possible that this is meant to be 5/8" as it's pretty close.
First thought as its on a water item, was 3/8 BSP .... but threads no match.
5/8" UNF was next thought - but TPI is out.

Anybody any thoughts on this ?

Are you sure it's 25tpi?

My money is on it's 24tpi so it's a 5/8" x 24tpi UNEF.

You can buy a thread gauge pretty cheap, essential for taking the guesswork out IMO.

I have a Moore & Wright thread pitch gauge, and it gives 25 tpi as perfect fit, 26 tpi would also just about fit.
It’s not 24 tpi based on thread gauge.
Diameter measured with digital vernier.

A friend suggested 5/8” x 26 British cycle thread …. But seems very odd choice of thread for an Australian Espresso machine.

I have heard of UNC & UNF but not UNEF .. new one for me.
