Moved into an old house- first three days - day 1 - pin-down a piece of loose cladding in kitchen - pin into rising-main, water straight into eye - day 2 loose floorboard, drill for screw, into gas-pipe day 3 - another loose floor board, drill for screw, melt drill-bit in 30 amp cable.
Moral - if something obvious hasn't been fixed before - think why?
