Tia Sharp killer sentenced today

There is no god. You take a life you should have yours taken by law. Its a shame the 'recent one' (he doesn't deserve a name) cannot be subjected to the same treatment he dished out to that poor kid. A hanging, firing squad or leccy chair is still an easy way to go for him, if it was allowed.

Hear, hear. But the garotte for the nastiest murders/torture, rather than the options you listed.

I couldn't agree more, with the pair of you, but my worry is, how can you be 100% sure they're guilty?

Several independent witnesses to the murder, clear CCTV images of the murder, an admission of guilt by a sane person. Also, although I know little about it, I have heard that modern forensic and genetic evidence can be beyond any doubt.

Kids killing kids, is a hugely different scenario... what if a 4 year old got cross with another over a toy car, pushed him over and her cracked his head and died?

That would be deemed to be accidental death or, at the very worst, manslaughter although, of course, at that age I understand such a conviction would never happen.

For life.

Now answer the question.
What exactly would killing them acheive?

Killing them would remove dangerous beings from a society they're not welcome in..

We have prisons to do that. No need to resort to the barbarous methods of the dark ages.

what is better about prison than death?

Some might argue prison is a greater punishment than death.
The man in the image was innocent of any crime yet he paid with his life.
Had he lived, prison would likely have been a much better option.

If its to satisy your own desire for revenge then you are no better than the folk standing at the lynching above.

Maybe if YOU were the parent of the poor little mite, who was so disgustingly sexually abused, tortured, mutilated and murdered by those two animals, you would give up on your God and feelings of forgiveness.

Not to mention the daily torture of knowing they are out enjoying life to the full, and your little boy is six foot under.
What about the parents in a few years to come who fall foul of these f*ckwits, how would you explain your attitude to them????

No, absolutely no.

Norcon you love to come across all holier than thou on here, yet openly relish "sending two men up the road" and making them walk home to boot.
You remind of all those "god fearing" people you see in a typical midnight mass at chrimbo standing there singing those silly songs.
Half of them wouldn't give you the time of day and wouldn't be worth pizzing on if they were on fire.

No, absolutely no.

Yes absolutely yes.
And a lot of people have no fear of death.[/quote]

and many more have no fear of prison.... many people have their family and friends in prison.

Punishment is not about the comfort of the perpetrator, it's about how my life is once they've been caught and charged, and I feel right to expect them to be executed, so I don't risk them returning, nor having to pay for their upkeep!

How would you explain your attitude to the parents off JB's killers?
Are you going to tell them their children deserve to die?

And a lot of people have no fear of death.

The people who truly have no fear of death are those who aren't in trepidation of eternity in the 'other place'.
Athiests to you, when your time time comes you'll be sh*tting yourself just in case you 'weren't good enough'.
