Tile wall before or after fitting cabinets?

Hi all,

A quick question I'd like to run past everyone;
Is it better to tile a wall before or after fitting wall cabinets?

We're decorating the bathroom and will be fitting base units to house the basin and WC (these of course will be fitted before tiling), above which will be a run of wall units from wall to wall.

Personally I think it would be easier to tile the wall and then hang the cabinets, but unless that tiling is 100% level across the wall when the cabinets are hung there may be small gaps around them. Tiling after hanging would mean those gaps would be covered.

What does everyone else think and do?

Thanks in advance,
Tony.

Fit then tile.

This way you can fit the units as you like and then set out the tiles making sure they line up right.

If your putting up wall cabinets it would be easier to tile the wall first then fit the cabinet after. More bother tiling around a fixed object . It would not be many more tiles anyway.
