Hi all, I'm looking to tile our hallway, I've done a few bits and bobs in the past but never a whole room, although it's only about 2m x 1m. I'm a little concerned that i will need a special adhesive to go over the floor as it's covered in a shiny brown what looks like damp proof membrane. It's a 1960's council house if that helps. Does anyone know what this brown stuff is called or it's purpose and if i need to do anything special tiling over it.
