Hello. Looking a bit of advice. I am planning on tiling this area. It will be my first time tiling so a bit nervous (go easy on me). I have attached a picture of the area along with a red mark of where I am tiling and the tiles themselves. There is a slight dip between the actual fireplace and the laminate as you can probably see. What would I use to level this up so it meets the laminate? Also what would you suggest to tile onto the laminate? Would plywood suffice? It is going to be an electric fire sitting in there and I will rarely use the heater on it it’s more fire the light effect. Also, would I need a trim around the tiles? Also attached is the sort of thing I’m going for. Thanks in advance.
