Hi all,

I am about to embark on re doing my shower cubicle which has a stud wall on one side. I am going to replace the existing plaster board with the waterproof stuff.
Do I need to skim the waterproof board prior to tiling or can I just tile straight onto it with waterproof adhesive :?:

Many thanks for your anticipated response. :D

If your current plasterboard is sound, you can just tank it and tile straight over that. That'll save you 2 jobs.

The original plasterboard had water penetration, hence the reason for replacing with aquapanel.

Never thought of tanking normal plasterboard!

I will read up on that for future reference.

Cheers GCOL :)
