Tiling over half tiled wall

Should I be considering this? The wall is tiled to half height. I want to tile to full height.
would it be feasible to plasterboard the untiled section...and then tile over the lot?
or should I rip off old tiles and start from fresh?

No, it’s a complet & utter bodge & will make it 10x more difficult for someone to remove it all & do a proper job in the future; maybe you sooner than you think if you don’t get it right.
